You're on a job. The caller still hears back.

Callback Cowboy sets up a Lead Catcher for plumbers, HVAC techs, roofers, electricians, cleaners and lawn crews in Dallas-Fort Worth. Miss a call, and the caller gets a text from your business. Form leads land in one place. You get pinged. Nothing new to log into.

The kind of text your caller gets. This is an example only: the real wording gets set up with you before anything goes live.

Missed call while you're up in an attic:

Hi, this is [Your Business]. Sorry we missed your call, we're out on a job. What can we help with? This is an automated text. Reply STOP to opt out.

Caller replies: AC quit upstairs. Can somebody look at it this week?

Alert to you: new lead from a missed call. "AC quit upstairs."

Where the jobs slip away

A Tuesday you've probably had. Made up, but maybe not by much.

8:15 am
On a roof in Mansfield. Phone buzzes, unknown number. Probably another SEO pitch, so you let it ring. This time it wasn't.
10:40 am
Under a sink in Garland. Someone with water on the floor calls and gets voicemail. They don't leave one. They call the next company on the list.
2:30 pm
Up in an attic in Frisco. A web form comes in: "AC is out upstairs." It goes to an inbox you won't open until tonight.
8:50 pm
At the kitchen table, you finally see the form. They booked somebody else at lunch. And you meant to ask yesterday's customer for a review, back in the driveway. Then the next job started.

That's a normal week. Then the first real heat hits, or a hard freeze, or a hail storm rolls through, and the phone doesn't stop.

What the Lead Catcher does

It's about catching the leads you already get and putting them in front of you. That's the whole idea. There are four parts:

  • Missed-call text-back. When a call goes unanswered, the caller gets a short text from your business, so they know somebody saw it.
  • Web form to one lead sheet. Leads from the form on your website land in one lead sheet or your CRM, not an inbox you check at night.
  • Instant owner alert. When a new lead comes in, you get pinged. You decide when to call back.
  • Review request after each job. Every customer gets the same short ask. No picking only the happy ones, and no rewards for good reviews.

It's not an AI receptionist. It doesn't put a robot voice on your phone line and it doesn't call your customers. It sends a text when you miss a call, collects form leads, and pings you, and you make the call. We don't sell leads or lead lists, run ads or do SEO. It also won't save every call. How much it helps depends on your call volume and how you follow up. You still decide when to call back; the text just keeps the door open.

Every setup comes with clear "who this is" wording, STOP opt-out handling and quiet hours for texts, and every setup is tested twice before it goes live.

A note from Michael

I run Callback Cowboy. When you ask for a free callback, our AI assistant makes the call. It says it's an AI up front, and the call may be recorded.

Our AI assistants answer messages and send quotes, and they say so up front. Nothing goes live on your phone or site until you approve the wording in writing.

We never cold call or cold text. We only reply to people who contact us first. If you ask us to stop, we stop the same day, on every channel.

On your setup, you approve the wording of the texts, and the texting tool is in your name and on your bill.

How it works

You keep working while we do the setup.

  1. Free callback. Email us your name, business, trade, best number and best time to call. Our AI assistant calls you back, says it's an AI up front, and the call may be recorded. Tell it how calls and form leads come in today.
  2. We map it out. Which number, which form, where leads should land, who gets the alert, and what the texts say. You approve the wording.
  3. You sign up for your texting tool, in your name and on your bill. Carriers have to approve business texting first, so texting is usually live in about 2 weeks. We won't promise a date.
  4. We build it and test it. Every setup is tested twice before it goes live.

Prices

What it costs to build, and what it costs each month. Your texting tool is separate and billed to you by the provider, not by us.

WhatPriceDetails
Lead Catcher setup $300 one-time Missed-call text-back, web form to lead sheet or CRM, instant owner alert, and a review request after each job.
Care plan $49 per month Optional. Each month we place a test call and send a test form to make sure your text-back, lead sheet and owner alert still work, and we fix anything we set up that breaks. It also covers small changes, like new hours, updated text wording or one more form field, plus keeping your review-request link and message up to date. You get a short email report each month: what we tested, what we fixed and anything you need to know from your texting provider.
Your texting tool Billed to you by the provider You sign up in your name and pay the provider directly. Typically about $20–$40 a month for one user on a business texting app like Quo (formerly OpenPhone), plus a one-time carrier registration fee of about $20. Prices as of October 2026. Your provider sets them and may change them.

Questions

Do I have to babysit it?

The goal is no. There's no new dashboard to check. Leads go to your sheet or CRM, and you get an alert.

Does it work with my CRM or job software?

Tell us what you use, by email or on the callback, and you'll get a straight answer.

Today we can connect Google Sheets (directly, at no extra cost), HubSpot (including the free CRM, via Zapier), Jobber (via Zapier, on Jobber's Connect or Grow plan), Housecall Pro (via Zapier, on Essentials or higher), Workiz (via Zapier, with Workiz's Developer API add-on), and ServiceTitan (via Zapier, on The Works package, with ServiceTitan's approval for your account). If you use something else, ask us and we'll tell you honestly if we can connect it. Some connections need a paid Zapier plan, which you'd pay Zapier for directly.

How long until it's working?

Texting is usually live in about 2 weeks, because carriers have to approve business texting first. We won't promise a date before that approval comes through.

Do I keep my accounts?

Yes. You keep your existing business number. The texting tool is in your name and on your bill, and the lead sheet is yours.

Is it OK to text people back?

We build every setup around consent, a clear "who this is" line, STOP opt-outs and quiet hours. We're not lawyers, so check with your own advisor about your situation.

Can you promise results?

No. It won't save every call, and how much it helps depends on your call volume and how you follow up. We'll be straight with you about what it can and can't do.
